Drivers Ed Test

For those preparing to get a Virginia learner’s permit, you’ll need to pass a vision test as well as a two-part knowledge exam. Those under 18 must have had their permit for 9 months. If you’re over 18, you’ll need to have had your license for at least 90 days before you can apply for a driver’s license. The DMV written test consists of information from the 2021 Virginia Driver’s Manual. The first section will have 10 questions on traffic signs, and you must answer all 10 correctly before you will be allowed to move on to the second portion of the test. The second section will cover general knowledge like traffic laws, safe driving techniques, and substance laws. You will only need to answer 80% correctly of the questions in the second section to pass. If you are under 18 you’ll have to wait a full 15 days before you can retake the test so it’s important to study and use this DMV practice test as a tool to succeed.
